I ordered this ring on clearance on Designer Silver Day and just got it. It's a keeper! First off, it is very comfortable. Sometimes a pave dome ring like this can be uncomfortable on the two fingers on either side of it. Not so with this ring. Very comfortable. The pave completely covers the finger so you don't even see the lovely brush work on the shank of the ring. The black pave Diamonique looks like pave black spinel. The genuine amethyst stones are a dark purple and I like the combination. The silver berge around each of the amethyst stones is done well and the inside of the ring is finished with the Ripka fleur de lis. Overall I am just so very pleased with this ring.

I have two pave black spinel rings that I adore and one of them is a dome style, but this ring called to me despite this and I am so glad I went ahead and got it. I tend to be attracted more to purple stones, so the combination of the genuine amethyst and the black pave Diamonique (very black spinel-like which I am very into atm), ensured this ring had my name stamped all over it.

As a side note, next to the fleur de lis inside the ring there are the double dots and a half moon on either side of the fleur de lis. Just looks like two smiley faces to me.
