Review: New Celedon Quartz Ring

J269961.

Run -- don't walk -- to the phone or computer and pick this one up....even if you have the green monaco. The difference between them is night and day. One is bold and majestic (the monaco); this ring is elegant with a more quiet majesty.

First, the stone: great saturation, a little bit of a different shade than the monaco with a tighter pattern of checkerboard faceting that throws off more sparkle. The stone is also quite domed, so it really catches the light from numerous vantage points.

Second, the diamonique situation: VERY low key, just the right counterpoint without looking obviously fakey.

Third, the metalwork: Berge details and thicker roping plus pierce-outs on the undergallery make a perfect setting...like the crown of a modern monarch...not too fussy but definitely royalty. Also, this sets up higher off the hand, but it's not too much. I'd wear this ring every day.

Winner and worthy of addition to any collection!
