This happened to me twice, as well. Ripka pieces both times. CS sent a replacement for one, the other was sold out :-(.

I received an empty jewelry box for another item. The paper mailer looked like it had been pulled open in a small area, but it didn't look big enough to me for someone to have removed my ring, bit I will never know. There is a mailbox theft problem in my area.

OMG! thank you so much! I had no idea this was also listed under another item number. I cannot figure out why this was done but I am thrilled - just put it on WL. Surprisingly, not even CS knew about this. Love these boards

I definitely think it's employee theft. They're packaging up tons of the same item, and they don't think it will be any big deal to take one and mail you an empty box. That happened to me once, too. Also, I had an incident where the post office delivered to me an item that was addressed to someone in another town. I had received several items that day and opened them all before I realized I had two of one item and then actually looked at the address to see that it wasn't addressed to me at all. Interestingly, I took it to the post office and left the flap open so the clerk could check the item and see that it was still there, but he didn't even glance at it. He just put tape over the flap and tossed it into the mailing bin.

If I were QVC I think I would take down this thread. It's going to give a lot of dishonest people ideas. I don't doubt this happened, but they did refund your money. Hopefully you will get your ring on waitlist.
