RETURNED GRAND STATEMENT

Bracelet, because a Diamonique stone fell out. I "assumed" the bracelet would merely be replaced. It seems a Credit was issued and another Grand Statement has been sent out, and my credit card has been charged for the new one. Isn't that kind of the long way around the barn? I don't get it.
