Quick Question ladies

Hello ladies. I am new to this forum. I was hoping some of you can help. I am purchasing a new cp piece and part of it is copper. I have never had copper jewelry so I do not know anything about it. Can it get wet, how to store it, can I wear it all the time and never take it off. It is going to be my signature piece, so I just wanted to know if you can help. TIA
