Question about extending a JR bracelet

Hi, everyone

I have a JR piece that I'd like to give to someone. The problem is that she needs an 8" bracelet, and the one I have is around 7". I don't recall the item number (will try to find it if necessary), but it's the L-O-V-E charm bracelet with the textured links and dangling letters. I saw someone suggest a while back that you could possibly take one of the JR heart keychains apart and use the links from it to enlarge this bracelet. The links on each item do appear to be very similar, but I don't know if they're the same size. I was wondering if anyone was able to do this successfully and if it looked good? Thanks. Smiley Happy
