Jewish people, but they were not the only ones targeted.

                   I knew a man from Poland who was Catholic.

As a teenager, he was put into a Nazi concentration camp.

He escaped when he was 17 years old. Eventually he came to

the U.S.A.

Plenty. Jews, Gays & Gypsy  (or Rom) where to be "cleansed" Children to adults.  Roms are separate ethnic groups of Romanians.  They travel and don't stay in one place.  Not to be confused with Irish Travelers in Ireland and the U.S. Although Irish Travelers are Irish, they were prosecuted in Ireland.
