@willomenia  The Nazis committed genocide against people that did not meet what they considered their standards.  The Nazis considered the Romani people "enemies of the race-based state", thereby placing them in the same category as the Jews, and their fate paralleled that of the Jews in the Holocaust.  You can look it up in Wikipedia under "Romani Holocaust".

The word that doesn't bother you is an ethnic slur.

QVC changed the ring's name.
