Problem with all except plain post and butterfly clasp earring backings.

Is anyone else having a problem with the backings on JR's pierced earrings besides me? I find that my earlobe 'doesn't fit' the clasps and gets squished. The only type I don't have a problem with are plain post earrings of which JR makes very few (any??). I've had to return a few earring sets and am getting very disgusted with the line for that reason - also I have arthritis and need a size 12 or greater ring, depending on the style, and find NO size 12 rings in JR's line......... Agghh! I think I'll have to give up on QVC for rings and switch over to HSN. They carry quite a few size 12 rings since I made the suggestion it seems!
