I have had pierced ears for about 25 years. I do not wear earrings that often, and when I do, they are small gold studs. A long time ago, I decided that I was allergic to silver/nickel pierced earrings because every time I wore them, my ear lobes would throb, and I would soon have a headache. So I stopped wearing silver earrings.
Then someone said that an allergy to the silver/nickel would make my ears itchy, not hurt. does anyone have a problem wearing silver earrings?
I got the Honora TSV studs because Joel said they were nickel free. But sure enough, those bother me too. Is is possible that my ear lobes hurt because the silver post is a bit thicker than a gold post? My holes are not that big and I sometime have a hard time getting the earrings in, even gold ones. If I do have an allergy to silver, is there a solution to that? Could I put something on the post to alleviate that problem?
Thanks for your responses and help!
