He knew what women liked - how I wish the Q would take up on that.  We don't like computers and blenders.  That's not romantic.  We like products that make you feel cared about.  Like someone knows your likes and tastes. Having that sensitivity is a rare gift.

I loved to watch Nolan Miller. I own only one piece , a pin , Sofia Rose that he created for  Sofia Loren. I get many compliments when I wear it. 

The dresses I think was made by his partner, Marc Zunnino. He is now well known wedding dresses designer. Very popular at Kleinfield NYC. And other places.

Yes, very sad that very best and classy people are gone forever.

I only bought a couple of his pieces.  I had no idea I had a sensitivity to nickel until I wore them and broke out in a bad rash.  No more of that.

I enjoyed Nolan's shows too. The gowns were gorgeous and Nolan was great to listen to. He was a gentle soul. The glamour of it all was just so much fun.

I recently saw a biography of Barbara Stanwyck in which Nolan credited her for giving him his start in design. She met him and liked him personally and started buying his clothes before he became famous.

I've never heard anyone say a bad word about Nolan.

Joan Rivers used to joke about how the models like Nolan better than her.

Those were the best shows on QVC.  I loved hearing all of his stories about dressing famous women.  I have an obsession with pins and bought about 6 or 7 of his.  But the one that I always got the most compliments on was his original calla lily pin.  It got to a point where I just carried around the item number in my wallet.  I always felt like a million dollars when I wore his jewelry.  There has been no one since that equals the quality and beauty of his jewelry.  Keeping in mind that I bought most of the items 20 years ago I wonder if they would sell as well today, since everyone dresses so casually these days.  Even office attire is much more casual than 20 years ago.  I would still buy his pieces and I'm retired now and not much occasion to wear them, but they were just so darned beautiful.  I truly miss him on QVC.
