Am I crazy or are some of the new Ripka pieces priced off the charts for what they are? I mean an apatite ring for $832.00? A CZ and MOP ring for nearly $200? A garnet pendant for $610? No...it is not me...it is QVC who has lost it's way! Maybe Ms Ripka is a designer and well known but when we cannot find a decent gold necklace with functioning clasp for any price I find it curious they opt to bring in these JR pieces that I think are out of range for most viewers...they are not gold, not rare gems, and in most cases they are Diamonique which used to have great designs at great prices!

I agree with you Junera...and honestly I have found "couture" JR at TJmaxx for less than some of these pieces on the Q!! Her own website offers sale items in precious metals and stones from her "couture" collection once again, for less than the Q items!! Very interesting lol!!!

Her recent rolo link bracelet in silver at $89.00 with HOLLOW links to keep the price down, does not have very good reviews. So it seems she is trying to offer some less expensive alternatives; however, quality suffered.

No, it is actually couture since I brought two pieces into the her Madison Avenue store to confirm...I'm speaking of TJMaxx in NYC...they also sell $1,500 Chloe handbags and $800 Missoni tops etc....(and these are of course the discounted prices). NYC and South Beach, Miami TJMaxxs, among a few other cities, offer premiere designer inventory. Lucky us lol!)))

Prices for her things have been off the charts for a while. I think it's a game to see how far they can go before some customers finally stop buying. I find some of the prices for fake diamonds particularly insulting and each to their own, but can't fathom why so many buy them.

As for the Maxx and higher end goods, some stores carry things that are a cut above. There aren't many that feature what they were calling 'the runway' but there are a few and even some of the non-runway stores in my area frequently have some pieces by Ripka, Bixby and others. They also have nice selections of watches and, of course, handbags.
