, HQ's are pretty bad.
Yes, they are. Some are those clothes are so thin and flimsy, I can see thru them on the screen! THAT is ridiculous!

I hope they keep Anuschka and Skinn. I really don't watch anything else. For a long time I thought it was the "watch" channel since that was all that was on when I channel surfed.
I'm not sure why the would want to relocate. Minneapolis is a great city. And, it's not like we are going there to shop!

The clothes that I've seen look so cheap so I thought they were the low end channel and then it's all day Waterford and what seemed like a whole month of invictia watches live in Miami. I hope they get some direction with the new management. I've heard some good things about the skinn line and dmitri is great. I've caught his shows a few times and was almost ready to pick up the phoneOn 7/13/2014 JavaQueen said:, HQ's are pretty bad.

Michael Valitutti is a jewelry vendor at ShopHQ. His line is called Gems en Vogue. He brings lots of large real gems set in plated metals.

Where's Suzanne Somers? Is she off to another network again?

Me too.
And it'd be nice if he was able to bring in some of his gold pieces too.

I'm confused - so a former leader of one of the other (3) home shopping channels now leads what was a competitor? He moves from leading hsn to leading shophq - really. If he couldn't lead hsn what makes him think he can lead or better lead shophq? Are these shopping channels all related in some way? They all compete but yet they all move from one to the other - with all the secrets that they know of and 'leave' behind to carry over to the next shopping channel?
I was under the impression that qvc had connections with hsn - I've read that info here at one point not long ago. Am I wrong on this? So now the ex-leader of hsn moves to shophq? All three of these businesses trade hosts and vendors. I find this odd but when you think about it, they basically all know each other.
I think in the last few years shophq really stepped up their game. I think they have some really good vendors especially in the fashion world. At least they have a really nice variety of vendors who bring nice fashions instead of the 4 or 5 at qvc who just trade off week after week with tsv offerings. What a joke this has turned into IMO. Qvc offers nothing like they used to in their formiable years that drew us all in. Certainly it's not like this a nymore because why? The really good vendors took their good to the other two channels - hsn & shophq.
This tv shopping world has gone off the deep end. They're all related in some way, move from one to the other, the only difference is the location the hosts work - PA, MN, or FL. The really good ones get to move south!!!

It's like any career. People move from competitor to competitor, but remain in the same field. Depends on your chosen vocation. For example, I've seen newscasters go from CNBC or CBS to Fox news. Computer executives jump from computer company to computer company. Women who work retail may go from store to store. Many years ago, the Macy's I used to work at got many of their managers from JC Penney. A Home Depot SA may get a management job at Lowe's. It's works the same with shopping channels. It's their career. Many people don't change careers just because they're not fulfilled at one company. They just move on to another company. They stick with what they know, frequently for their entire lives (i.e., a nurse switching Dr.'s office, hospitals, a teacher switching schools).
And, BTW, you're right. At one time, QVC and HSN were both owned by LINTA, aka Liberty Interactive Corporation. However, I think LINTA went thru some type of reorganization and may not own HSN anymore because HSN now has their own stock ticker (HSNI).

BTW, I just looked at ShopHQ's stock price (VVTV). VVTV is only $4.60. HSNI has gone from $10 to $56 in 5 years. No wonder Shop is reorganizing.
