I think I heard something about Barry Diller too - but I know people who sold their wares on the Q and she used to treat them like ""C"" - as well as what I've personally seen her do to the hosts - loved her clothes but wouldn't buy anything because of the way she acted!

I know. She always seemed supremely bored and dismissive of people when on the air.
Hey, people, speaking of Invicta watches, it's the Top Value today! LOL.

She left the Q because her husband, a big media mogul, sold his shares in the company and bought HSN instead.
So she was there instead.
I thought it was her friend Barry Diller. Did they get married?
They were definitely an item and I'm pretty sure they got married in 2000 or 2001. I don't know if they are still married or not.

First item of new business needs to be: Replace Melissa Miner!!! For some reason she thinks she is better than the other hosts because she is a graduate gemologist (as she keeps telling us). She also continues to remind us that Jorge Perez is her "TV Husband" (her words). She's not trust worthy because she is so full of hyperbole. To her no item is selling out. It's "racing" to sell out. And for some reason, she loves to look at herself in the monitor instead of the camera. So she's talking to herself instead of to the audience. "Hosting 101" teaches a new host to look into the camera and speak to the audience NOT look at the monitor and talk to yourself. The audience is the focus Melissa, Not yourself!!!

I've been complaining to Shop for years that they dumbed down their jewelry too much. I haven't turned into Chuck in 2-3 months, and I can't remember the last time I watched an hour of him. I pretty much quit watching because all you see from him is silver and costume. They have some great gold jewelry online but it's expensive. I don't understand why they can't bring in mid-range gold and gem lines. And I have that same complaint about Q.
i'm not sure anyone from HSN will bring in better gold jewelry. H hasn't sold quality jewelry in years. I quit watching H jewelry shows years ago.
I bought a V Wieck ring from H 2 weeks ago that was half off and marked 14k but 2 jewelers told me it wasn't gold so they couldn't size it. I've worked with one of the jewelers for 20 years and trust him. H pretty much groveled when I called so it wasn't the first time they heard this. I was impressed with their customer service though and they were quick to refund my money.

They are back, I believe they just had their first show this month.
