Re: Never Buying QVC Jewelry AGAIN

I have a Diamonique eternity band that has lost stones twice.  Both times QVC has replaced my ring.  Last was about two years ago.  Ring didn't cost much, but they did stand behind the warranty.  Don't know about Affinity and that you need to buy separate insurance.  Have never bought it,

Re: Never Buying QVC Jewelry AGAIN

@Ktrai Sorry this happened.  Such a disappointment. I never considered buying the insurance plan offered by Q. I don't buy much from Q anymore but I guess it might be a good idea going forward.

Here's a true story of Q back in the late 80s when they were new:

My friend ordered a pretty leaf bracelet from Beverly Hills Gold.  You may remember this is the company that made a gold bracelet that I believe they called their version of a tennis bracelet but it was all gold.  Anyway my friend wore the bracelet once and it fell off her wrist at the grocery store.  She felt the clasp must've been faulty. She searched the store but never found it.  She called Q and they sent a replacement! Maybe because they were so new and wanted to please their customers at that point in time?

Of course that wasn't expected as she was hoping to get maybe a small credit on her account.

Re: Never Buying QVC Jewelry AGAIN

@Kalli What a wonderful story! How times have changed!

I've had stone fall out of rings from the America West line. They were epoxied into the setting. Carolyn Pollack's company Relios always replaced the stone for a nominal fee like $12.

Re: Never Buying QVC Jewelry AGAIN

Thanks for your reply! Yes! I was SOO happy when I found the stone.

The picture online doesn't even do it justice. In person, it has the most brilliant internal blue-violet light in it and I loved staring at it all day while at work Smiley Happy

But now I'm sad if I can't get it reset. Gonna try checking out some other placces that maybe won't charge me an arm and a leg.

Re: Never Buying QVC Jewelry AGAIN

Thank you for your reply!

I'm definitely going to check out some other places and see if I can get a better price on repair. The stone is soo pretty in person and I feel so lucky I found it.

The store I took it to was this custom jewelry/repair shop - and when I first walked in one of the first words I overheard a sales person saying to another person was "Cartier" so part of me is thinking they were just trying to price me out, having no interest working on my little sterling silver-gold-plated moonstone ring hahaa!

OH also forgot to say, when the lady was evaluating the ring she goes, "did you did this off Etsy or something?" Man Indifferent LOL

Re: Never Buying QVC Jewelry AGAIN

Oh man! Sorry to hear about your Blue Topaz ring. And the fact that you barely wore it..

I certainly will never consider buying an Affinity Diamond piece or higher priced piece because I guess we'd get the same, "too bad, you're SOL, no warranty" response if it happened to be a DIAMOND ring to lose a stone after 1 year.

@Ktrai wrote:

I bought an Affinity Gems rainbow moonstone ring in March of 2025. I loved it! Beautiful! Wore it everyday.. but also ALWAYS took it off for washing hands, showering, etc.

HOWEVER a couple weeks ago in March of this year (2026), the main center stone just FELL out. Miraculously I found the stone laying at my feet at work.

Being that I just barely had this ring for over a year (by just days), and Affinity Gems is a QVC BRAND and marketed as "fine gemstone jewelry" I reached out to customer service to see what could be done about it.

Repair? Replace? NOPE. I was basically told too bad and I "should have bought the Allstate insurance plan on it, if it was available"

I was shocked! Excuse me, why should I continue to buy my "fine gemstone jewelry" from this place if it's basically the equal of "fast fashion - falls apart after 1 year - literally!" and they refuse to stand by their pieces.

I took it to a jewelry repair shop, and was told the prongs are basically shot and would need to be completely redone and was quoted over $400 to do it.

The ring is still available but is now TWICE the price that I orginally paid.

I feel like I could have gotten a flauty piece, but they had no interest in looking into that for me.

The customer service rep was very unsympathetic.

Shame on QVC. Do not buy Affinity Gems.

Order a new one, then when you get it return old ring

Saying g it was defective.  .

@catmama.  Diamonique stones have a unique warranty, unlike any other at QVC.

Re: Never Buying QVC Jewelry AGAIN

Affinity Gems is merely QVC packaging. There are multiple manufacturers supplying items for the Affinity Gems collection. If you received something defective, simply note down the manufacturer engraved in the piece before you send it back and then you will know not to purchase from them.
