Need help with USGB please!!

For those of you who have sent gold to US gold buyers, I need a little help. I have a bag of gold ready to be sent in, but have a couple of questions. Do I need to separate the 14k from the 10k? What about gemstones? If I don't remove gemstones, will they return them? Will they charge me to return them? Will they charge me to remove the gems from my pieces? I'd appreciate any tips you can offer. Thanks for your help.
