While looking at my jewelry treasures, from Barry Cord, Bixby,BJC(Samuel B.) James Avery, Lagos, and John Hardy, etc. I realize what treasures I have. With the exception of  Jai new leopard pieces, nothing has given me the Wow.

Jewelry catches the eye, but designs reaches the soul. My collection is small for over 30 years of collecting. I am purchasing less jewelry.I have and will glimpse  the Jewelry Bonanza online a few times today, but nothing has given me the WOW.

I wish I had your self control!  Two items called to me: the TSV with pearl and the JAI croco band ring with blue topaz!

I know what you mean by looking at your treasures! ❤

I am in the midst of organizing my pieces into a bigger space so I can actually see everything at a quick glance. I literally stand there and think to myself "you have yourself quite a wonderful collection!). I truly do NOT need more jewelry .... but, there is a set of ankle bracelets I am eyeing today .... still thinking on that one...

(Gracie3 - you mentioned Barry Cord, I believe he was the one who offered like three or four crosses in his collection - I do wish I had bought them all!! I was a ninny on that one! As I am an avid cross collector and those were very nice. Just one of those things you kick yourself for later ... 😀!).

Enjoy your pieces everyone!

@CAMOGIRL you can check ebay, the last I check you can find seveal BC's jewelry, but I would be cautious ordering from ebay. Enjoy your treasures old and maybe the new ankle. Also keep in mind the gram weight and the design.

I understand what you mean about treasures -- the JAI leopard cuff was the first thing to speak to me in that line, too.  Yet I also like times to be "light," to have a little bling and shine, and so I do enjoy pieces not at the "treasure" level necessarily, but ones that put a little zip into my look -- and step!

@GRACIE  I sold all my high end heavy gold pieces back when gold prices peaked a couple of years ago....  no place to wear them anymore. I came out very well$$$$$$$$!  I was shocked at the value with good prices jumping so high. I bought them when I was paying $100 a gram for 24 kt gold. Many pieces were 90 grams and up!

I still have lots left...mostly the items I wear more than not.

The title made me smile.  My little 4 year old niece likes to sit on my lap and go through my jewelry boxes.  She calls them Treasure Chests.  Smart girl, she prefers gold...lol  She goes...ooohhhhhh  a golden ring...lol   I've been buying jewelry for over 30 years.  Not so much lately because I have everything.  I'll look at what offered today because I have niece who is getting her Master's this spring and I want to get her something special.  She wears silver.

I am kind of embarassed by all the jewelry I have - many from QVC in the old days - sometimes I buy something without realizing I have something similar and better - then I return - lately when I am tempted I just open up my "box of treasures" and go shopping at home

@GRACIE. Sounds like you have a nice collection. Many of my WOW pieces are inherited and some I purchased. I also have John Hardy and David Yurman and other silver jewelry since that's my preference.

For a long while, I kept my inherited pieces (pearls, diamond pins, diamond studs, gold bangles that I mix w/ my silver ones on left hand w/ watch, etc.) in the safe & then realized they were left to me to enjoy.

I took them out, had them appraised and insured and try to wear them daily. Pearls w/ jeans, pins on jean jackets, etc. I enjoy the juxtaposition of real jewelry with costume, dressy w/casual and wearing unexpected accessories.

So many of the posters seem to feel the way I do about jewelry. Although I don't "need" any more jewelry, I still want new and interesting pieces to wear.  Then there's that awful regret when a lovely piece I wanted gets away, never to be found again!

I'm enjoying adding to my collection and wearing my pieces. In my dotage, my daughter will have them. It will be a special gift from me to remember me by.
