I've been looking at a pair of morganite earrings but can't figure out if they might be heavier or lighter than diamonds of the same size. Tried a google search but didn't get anywhere?
Can somebody advise? Thank you so much.

Morganite is in the beryl family (emeralds, aquas, etc). They are more porous than diamonds, therefore, the same size morganite would be much lower in carat size, e.g. weight.

A one-carat diamond will look smaller than a one-carat morganite.
