Channel surfing yesterday I came upon the LC selling Brazilian mint garnet jewelry. The stone is a grossular garnet, same as Tsavorite. I couldn't resist so I bought the only hoops they had. I'm a sucker for the rare and I thought the prices were very good. I can't wait to get them!

Anyone see the shows? Buy anything?

To me they looked like Demantoid garnets in color, maybe a little more green. The mint ones aren't as refractive as the Demantoids, but they looked pretty spectacular on my screen. Many items sold out or are now low in inventory. This is a one and done deposit. LC bought all of the rough.

I was tempted as well. Demantoid and tsavorite garnets are among my favorite gemstones. I hope I don't regret passing on these special pieces.

I saw the show and I bought a pair of earrings as a birthday gift. I love to have these beautiful mint garnet as a part of my garnet pieces.

 I can't wait for them to arrive. I will wear them immediately.

Which earring did you get?

I got the pear shape with white zircons sorrounding them like a halo style. They are stud earrings.
