Love my MK watch. Didn't get the crystals one, because I don't care for that style. I love this watch. I have the large white ceramic and I constantly get comments on it. Still looks fabulous after 3 years of hard wear.

As for TJ Maxx, it really depends on the neighborhood you're in. If you are in an upscale neighborhood, I've seen really high end clothes and bags (Yves St. Laurent, Chloe, Fendi). If you're not in a nice area, you won't see that stuff. Right now my TJ Maxx has some John Hardy jewelry I'm thinking about. I've seen much nicer watches than the MK there.

You never know what you're going to find there.

I totally agree, any age can wear them but I know they are extremely popular with the youger ladies/girls. I think almost every young lady in my daughter's sorority has at least a couple. I like the look of them too! I guess we have just had bad luck with them.

DD's fiancé works for MK and purchased a silver (tone?) watch for her two years ago. She wears it daily and is often hard on it as she is a nurse working in a children's hospital. It looks every bit as beautiful today as the day she got it. I'm totally hoping they get me one for Christmas this year!!!

Exactly. I used to have a TJMaxx about 5 minutes from me and they didn't even have a jewelry counter. Every once in awhile they would have some boxed jewelry thrown in a bin.

But then there was a store about 15 minutes from me with a full jewelry counter and it had a lot of designer jewelry items in it. I purchased quite a bit of jewelry from them.

OP

You get what you pay for. Shop around and see if you can't get a better price on the MK watches. They do hold up well.

$200 doesn't get you much in the way of watches these days and you might not want to spend that on a trendy watch. You do it only if you must have it. MK watches can cost more than $200 btw. Check out other brands that have the look and then save some money if you like the look. But again, you get what you pay for.

My niece had to have a MK watch, it's a boyfriend watch in rose tone with white crystals around the bezel. My sister paid over $300.00 for that watch, I personally did not think it was worth that, but my niece is very happy with the watch.

I got a gorgeous MK watch for my birthday that I had been wanting for a long time. Luckily it was on sale. Are they worth $200+? Let's be honest, you're paying for the name. MK uses the same manufacturer as Fossil.

For the last 2-3 years I have researched and gone to see the MK watches and never liked one enough to buy.

I ended up getting the JR chrono watch in goldtone and I absolutely love it. Looks very high end and I have had it for about 2 years and it looks the same as the day I got it and that is with daily wear. On my 1st anniversary cruise we stopped in St. Maarten and there are many high end jewelry stores there and I received a compliment from a sales lady there. it looks much more expensive and the quality is top notch. I bought it at the $219 price and it has far exceeded my expectations for that price point.

I really do not know but I think the MK watches are more mass produced it seems. I have a couple of his bags and they are very well made so maybe not. I guess what I am trying to say is that the design it more of a mass produced style in the watches for me at least. I am more ok with seeing my bag here and there but now with my watches and jewelry.

It depends on how you define worth. $200 isn't exactly a fortune, if you are a M K customer and like the watches, its worth $200 to you. The quality and probably the manufacturers are the same as other "designer" fashion watches.

I like the MK watches but tend to not buy anything when a designer starts a mass-market campaign like Coach did....you are paying for the name for sure but if you think it's worth it then go for it and enjoy it!
