Hi CP Sistas!
For those of you who do not have FB accounts, this message just came across FB....thought you would like to see it. A special shout out to our dear Lala(Libby) who is mentioned in the letter from Carolyn!!!
From Carolyn:
Flat Stanley Is Here!
Our dear Sincerely Sister Libby sent Flat Stanley to my gallery in Albuquerque this past week. I am so excited!! I think Flat Stanley has a way of bringing out the best in everyone! A visit from Stanley inspires us to get out and experience all that we love about life in New Mexico. We plan to teach him a thing or two about designing and creating jewelry, treat him to some of our famous food, take him to our favorite cultural and scenic attractions, and of course do a little shopping! Stanley tells me there is a certain person back home in Atlanta who can’t seem to get enough jewelry!
Now, if you haven’t been blessed by a visit from Flat Stanley, this beloved children’s story goes like this. Stanley is flattened by a bulletin board that fell from the wall above his bed. Being the positive guy that he is, he looks on the bright side and discovers that he can send himself anywhere in the world for just the price of postage by slipping himself into an envelope. Teachers share Stanley’s story with their young students who create their own Stanley to send away to friends and family, and use his experiences to learn about new people and places.
Stanley arrived at the perfect time. This year, Bill and I will set off on a journey of our own for my Seasons Across America series. We’ll be stepping into the true heart of Americana, exploring the beauty of the changing seasons across America's vibrant landscapes and discovering the sights and sounds that will inspire my new seasonal collections. Our first stop will be Northern California. For those of you who live in this beautiful part of our country, or have visited, imagine that I arrive in your mail box. What would be included at the top of your list of things to do, people to meet, places to see, and food to eat? Things you absolutely wouldn’t want us to miss! While I won’t be travelling in an envelope (where would I put my jewelry?), I will definitely be coming for a visit in the early part of May. Once we gather your suggestions and map out our plan, I will let you know our schedule so that we might get a chance to meet up along the way!
Throughout the seasons, Bill and I look forward to experiencing the vitality and pride of the people who make their home in treasured corners of America. We’ll capture what is beautiful and unique and bring them to life in our American made designs. I hope you’ll join us on another wonderful journey!!!
Sincerely,
Carolyn
