Re: Memory lane for a name please.

@qualitygal.  RLM was not from Arizona.  He did have a home in New Mexico.

@SilleeMee   When I was making silver jewelry, he did workshops and I was lucky enough to take a class with him. He is a true professional and so talented. His pieces were contempory and some were etched with designs, but usually sculptural. I have a cuff he made and one that he taught us to make. I treasure both.

Re: Memory lane for a name please.

I have so many RLM pieces and I love them.  I can't remember the name of the first piece I bought, but it was a TSV necklace.  The silver was so beautifully finished, it felt like silk to me.  I have rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings - all from his line on QVC and some I bought from Gilt.

But that necklace was the piece that changed me from an all gold person to mostly silver!  Back in the earlier days of these forums, there was one forum dedicated to his jewelry and fans.

It was such fun finding different "hidden" pieces in the QVC inventory and sharing the information with other posters.  Especially when the items were on sale but not being shown online.  There were some real sleuths around then.

I was happy once to find a set of 5 bangles and share the info.  They were at a bargain clearance price; I don't tend to wear bangles, but others did and snapped them up.

The good old days!

Re: Memory lane for a name please.

@JazzyGirl - I do know that towards the end of his time with QVC he mentioned that he was having trouble with his hands, which kept him from working/designing as much as he wanted to.

At that time, he mentioned having apprentices (or some similar word like students) that were working with him.

Also, I think it got to a point - and this is just my opinion - that the price of things were going up and he didn't want to compromise on quality.

I'm glad I have the pieces I do.

I have one of his silver bracelets from years ago. Believe he had a studio in Az.  Loved his silver.  We always had the one host, who did all the silver shows as I recall. A few years back he was on one time, but I missed that show.

Can you help me with his name please?  Was it Lee something?

I think that was Jill Bauer@qualitygal
