I purchased a watch box from Merele last Christmas and am very pleased with it. I wanted one mid size that had enough room for my one bangle watch but that would still stack on top of my jewelry box. This one is exactly what I was looking for and it has the anti tarnish lining.  I also have two tiny watch boxes from Merle and they are lovely.

I placed an order for my Empress yesterday

I wanted a proper jewelry box.  I had an old one (no ballerina or anything childish looking) from when I was 16, lol.

I have a faux leather looking one that DH gave to me for an anniversary.  If he would have picked it out, I probably would have kept it.  My sister saw it online, said, hey you need an idea for Bernie's anniversary gift and he fell for it.

I am recognizing my 35th anniversary at work this Tuesday and at the age of 53, I want a nice jewelry box, dammit, lol.

The Empress will be large enough for me to store my non silver jewelry in one place, I'll be able to pitch the faux leather one, the hanging jewelry organizer that looks like this

I am sick of the clutter on my dresser, the spare stand and the wall.

@Bird mama. You didn't say exactly what kind of jewelry box you had in mind but Zulily is featuring them today and they have quite a variety.  You might check them out.

17 years ago for my 50th birthday my DH bought me H287375. While it is a beautiful piece of furniture it is not what I would have bought for myself. if the drawers went all the way to the bottom it would hold much more. As it is it doesn't hold much. Also I have a lot of silver jewelry so I need a sealed jewelry box for it to prevent tarnish so when we moved to Florida I purchased a Lori Grenier box that hangs on the wall and has a mirror on the front for in my closet.It is nice , as long as you are careful to keep it closed tightly - I keep it locked - it doesn't allow the silver to tarnish. I would recommend a LG over the Mele that I have. However, if the Mele fits your needs, it is very pretty piece of furniture, and has stood up to 17 years well.

Thank you all for your input.  QVC set a land speed record (lol) with my order and I received my Mele 'Empress' jewelry box last night.

The presentation and packaging were impressive.  The jewelry box arrived in perfect condition and it is magnificent.

I am looking forward to taking the time to load it up and organizing it this weekend :-)

Geez, I think I jinxed this jewelry box with my review.  When I ordered it, the price was $130.  I posted a review that the Q had the best price out there - and they raised the price to $155. Oops.

That's a lovely jewelry box you have there, Birdie! I personally prefer an armoire since it has a lot more room for keeping everything in the same place. I'm not much of a silver fan, so I don't need the sealed storage. Enjoy playing with your new box this weekend!
