Does anyone have any confidence in them?Inhave found they don't hold but I love the ease, just wish I could be sure they would stay clasped.I have lost a couple of bracelets with this type of clasp in the past.

Did you lose them because the clasp failed or because the magnet stuck to something else?

You know I don't know how I lost them because one minute they were there and the next they were gone.Hope the person that found the was able to wear them longer than me before losing and giving someone else a chance to own them.

Recently I've gotten magnetic bracelets that have a safety clasp or a ""barrel"" with the magnetic deeply embedded within so that it's not attracted to other metal. I got a Gems en Vogue (ShopHQ) charm bracelet with such a clasp and the magnet is so strong I don't have any concern about losing it.

dex, after almost losing a magnetically clasped bracelet several times recently, I returned the bracelet to hsn as defective, and their CS agreed with my assessment as well as picking up the return charges. I do have another bracelet with magnetic closure but it has a safety latch. The safety latch is a must for bracelets! I will not purchase another unless it has a safety latch. There were numerous other hsn customers who lost the same bracelet that I had, and hsn is not happy about us sharing this info. I say buyer beware of magnetic closures for bracelets that do not have a safety latch!!!

I bought one many years ago from QVC but the magnet came out and I considered using Krazy Glue to put the magnet back but never did. I think it's a great idea; just wish mine would not have come apart!

I've got several from QVC, including the spheres that stuck to shopping carts and the barrels that don't seem to stick to anything else. Never had a problem with any of them, other than one time with a Michael Dawkins when I didn't line it up correctly so it didn't "latch" - but it just fell on the bedroom carpet and wasn't lost. Now I know I need to be more careful getting that one positioned correctly, I've had no further problem with it.

The barrel clasps on Steel by Design are wonderful. Very secure.

My magnetic closure bracelet got stuck on my shopping cart and I almost lost it. I have not bought any others with the magnetic closure after that happened. I was out to dinner one time and it got stuck on my spoon. That was funny because it lifted up my spoon.

Same problem here. I have a sterling silver link bracelet from QVC and just love the way it snaps shut and stays secure. However, it does grab onto the shopping cart and while eating in restaurants I have picked up a knife or fork now and then.

Well sounds like you have had good results with the magnetic clasps but I like the idea of the added safety closure...maybe I am too hard on my jewelry.
