Re: Let's Discuss: Judith Ripka early December 2014 visit--what are you getting/interested in?... :)

Our local news always shows us Floridians "bundled up" during our "cold snaps" , while they show the snowbirds visiting us laughing at us and wearing shorts and sandals on South Beach and swimming in the ocean! My Dad was in the military, so we lived in a few places, but mostly in the South. However, we had. 3 year stint in Germany where it was often cold and wet. I think I had strep throat every other month while we were there. Beth seems so warm and lovely and I love her sense of style....so far, I've been good....I ordered the green quartz drop earrings that came in 5 colors from the 11am show....item J-27718, but the night is young! ( I finished all my holiday shopping very early this year, so it could be dangerous)

GHB, Yes, so funny. You should see our news people often seriously discussing the 100th of an inch of rain that fell (am not making this up in our desert climate!). However, it will be a different story with this hideous storm we expect tonight with 2" in one day. It doesn't really soak into the soil very well and runs everywhere up over the curbs causing destruction. The main thing here is getting snowfall in the mountains so we can replenish water lost during the drought. With your moving around a lot as a kid, it is no surprise with the strep because it is tough to adjust to so many different climates. I dealt with Beth on a ring issue a couple of years ago and she is so nice and refreshingly honest. So glad to see her on-air...she is a true asset to the JR organization and does a great job! I have to confess to getting the heart lock enhancer on the open-link chain, J296832. I have a real weakness for changeable sets! Congrats on finishing your shopping. I have to complete my cards and holiday letter and am late on that this year. Best wishes~Peach

Hi Lucky Peach and fellow Ripkanistas! I am enjoying the show tonight on my laptop. My budget says I must refrain from new purchases. I did get the 14K gold clad inserts on clearance (they arrived this week) for my pearl system and they are great. Enjoy your purchases ladies!

Littleone2!!, how's the weather? We just got a card from DH's Aunt and Uncle in Duluth today. Congrats on your clad inserts for the pearl system. They really take it up a notch, don't they? Please review, if you have a moment. Hope your holidays are terrific and nice to hear from you! Take care~Peach

Lucky Peach, you wanted reviews, well here are 3. #J294207 Pave Diam. Cuff. in small. I bought this cuff and the matching ring. Really goes well together. The cuff fits perfectly, got it on finally without pinching. It certainly doesn't move around and I love that. The 118 facet DMQ bracelet in 6.75 is next on the wrist. It has a little more leeway, not snug. I can get my finger between the bracelet and my wrist. I guess my wrist is slightly under 6". The 118 facets are sure brillant, love this bracelet. Normally you wouldn't catch me buying a bracelet, I'm a cuff gal but this one is staying. I'm glad I splurged and now they are keepers. I'm pairing it with a Stainless Steel Watch, Abyss #628-670 (ShopHQ) with Plat. MOP dial. What a foursome. Smiley Happy)

Ripkanistas: Is anyone around? I decided for a two-hour show today, it seemed too much to start a new thread for that...

Judith looks great as usual and did anyone hear the story from the Ripkanista who wore the chronograph watch to a Hanukkah party and everyone thought it was a Chopard? Doesn't surprise me, it is such a fabulous design. I have it in rose. I haven't really gotten on the JR watch bandwagon after the first two sterling ones years ago, but did have to get the chrono and the silicone strap in coral.

What is everyone getting? I just opened up the rolling bangles in tri-color and like them, but am noting that they run large! Average is larger than expected IMHO, just a heads up. I have an average hand size with a small wrist. Happy Holidays{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}~Peach

Happy Holidays, Peach! I hope your heart is on the mend given your recent loss. I'm off from work today and was pleasantly surprised to see that Judith has a 2 hour show. I purchased the recent TSV tennis bracelet in silver and clad and they're keepers. I also purchased the Clad Channel Set Baguette Dome Ring (J337957) and it's stunning...heavy yet well proportioned and very comfortable on the finger. Getting ready for holiday travel home (east coast) and hope you and our other dear forum friends have a beautiful holiday season!

Hi Peach, ladies, greetings to every Ripkanista. I'm not shopping...but somehow managed to tune in not even knowing Judith would be on. My head is spinning over the juicy amethysts and cool blue topaz chunky monkeys. Eye and arm candy! It's great to see Antonella and Judith. I'm quite sad we won't be watching Lisa Lisa in future shows. Those two soft bracelets will have me light headed for the rest of the day. Enjoy the show/s. Sending best and happy holiday wishes to all, das
