I work retail, and its been quite hectic and somewhat aggravating, but anyway, I have been trying to dress in a festive manner and manage as best I can.

I wore my fine jewelry earrings to work, sapphire and diamond chandelier style drops. When I got home and began to take off my jewelry, I removed one earring, and when I went to remove the other - it wasn't there. I searched, had I already removed it, not realizing and laid it down somewhere? No. I felt so angry with myself. If my earring had fallen into someone's bag, or was absorbed by piles of clothes and strewn about somewhere. Of course these were good earrings, sapphires, diamonds and gold.

So this morning I drove back to work (my day off), and parked in the same spot, opened the car door, hoping I would find it laying on the pavement and sure enough, there it was, laying on its side, right where I opened the driver's side door. I couldn't find the back, but I found the earring. It may sound trite to some, but for me, this was my Christmas miracle.

Anyway, my lesson learned, not to wear my good jewelry at a retail job where there is a high probability of losing or damaging it. Lesson learned. Check.

Ladies never wear your post earrings when the backs are even a tad loose. Always make sure they are tight to the touch.
