I don't remember the last time I tuned into a gold show and watched more than thirty minutes. I am not interested in the gold filled, gold clad, not-really-gold gold that they sell here today. I also can't tolerate the way the hosts manufacture a fake urgency to buy all that awful stuff, and the annoying, unnecessary buyer who is on all the time, touted as a veritable rock star for procuring the junk. Seriously, girls, is the gold selection so wonderful and the presentation so great that you really want to see 24 hours of it?

Can't say I'm happy that QVC decided to move the date of the Klondike show away from a weekend date since I would have been more inclined to watch those shows than I would any of the "regular" weekend programming that Q has on.

I watch a.m. style if I'm home, other than that, I don't watch hours of kitchen stuff (and that goes for Wednesday programming, too) or computers, blah blah blah.

Whatever. They can do what they like, since most of the gold pieces they sell now are not all that interesting IMO. I understand that the price of gold is high but I'll skip it and spare myself the pain of having to watch David Markstein talk about the great deals he's getting the customer. Maybe so, but they also tend to be lightweight and boring.
