Don't think ShopHQ will miss them as they have quite a few jewelry vendors with lots of beautiful jewelry including 24kt.

I watched a little of that show--have never heard of them and didn't think much of their stuff--nothing special IMO----wasn't impressed.

In the past few years jewelry designers sometimes seem to think if they go to a different network they will have increased air time and thus, better sales.

The reality is that television jewelry shopping has decreased substantially as the prices have risen astronomically, people retire and no longer wear so much jewelry, or people have more or less complete collections and limit what they purchase.

I have purchased Effy jewelry before it was even known as Effy--just BH.  Nowadays I rarely purchase because the pieces are overpriced, the gold weight is down, and they use too many low value single cut diamonds.

I find Kallati nice, but not worth the effort for spending. Maybe it appeals to younger ladies.  I would never buy Peyton's Vault items either--also overpriced and small, poor diamonds.  Taking a pass on Jeff's tanzanite because I prefer to see those stones in person--color is everything--and tanzanites scratch easily. It is interesting that Peyton, Jeff and David M. all use their past relationships with QVC to market their own "brands."

Actually Stefano on ShopHQ still offers very creative gold pieces at often reasonable prices.  He has been at that network for more than 25 years, so he must be content.

Yes, I have become much more particular in purchasing fine jewelry!

@Jk9

I looked on their site for 22k gold and found some 22k plates pieces, is that what you were talking about?

I don't see their jewelry as brands; they're working as a liason with the same vendors QVC has worked with for years. I don't know if QVC approached them or they approached QVC for this role but they fill a function that the current crop of QVC jewelry buyers lack.

You heard Jeff say there are no private site holders for gemstones in Tanzania: it all goes through the government. So Jeff or no Jeff the Tanzanite comes from the same place. Vault Discoveries is mostly made by the QVC jewelry manufacturers in China; Peyton's involvement, as he explained last night, is cajoling stone collectors to sell parcels of rough stones to QVC. And finally David Markstein is working with QVC buyers on designing jewelry made by Milor in Italy, QVC's largest Italian jewelry vendor for the last 30 years. It's the QVC buyers that ultimately do the choosing: I asked Markstein if he would bring to QVC a watch and he'd said he'd like to, which seems to indicate the buyers don't want it.

I've noticed ShopHQ has been bringing in a lot of new gold jewelry. That makes me happy even though I don't buy anything.

@rockygems123 No I mean jewelry.  Lambert Cheng has 24 kt and Chevherun has 22/24kt.  Lots of selections of their designs.  I have a ring and earrings from them.
