I guess this means the luncheons are out...

It'll be interesting to see what unfolds the next time she's on QVC and whether the sale has any impact at all. As for the couture stuff, I can't fathom it's not still out there somewhere or that she plans to stop working in gold and platinum. Granted, she can make a mint for her new boss selling a few thousand silver and fake diamond pieces at exorbitant prices on QVC, but the take on the gold and real gemstones isn't exactly chump change... The choice to sell was hers alone, but it does seem as though some explanation of where the good stuff is would be in order.

ALL of these deals are customarily protected by confidentiality agreements. So if there had been ANY publication of the fact that the company was negotiating a sale before the deal was consummated, the sale would undoubtedly have been "off."

Possibly she is keeping her two stores on Madison Avenue for her couture pieces.

I'm sure that Judith will speak about it in her Blog before her new show coming May 10th. It's probably about timing and attorney's and contracts...that held Judith back from telling the Ripkanista's.

I don't take it as a personal slap in the face. It's business and it's Judith Ripka's business.
