Judith Ripka clip-on earrings

Does anyone have an easy fix for Ripka omega back clip-on earrings that are too loose?

Everyone will tell you to go to a jeweler and have them tighten the clip.

 

I had one Ripka clip earring that was too loose, and the earring would fall off.  I bought some self-stick "moleskin" for foot issues at Walgreen's and cut a small oval and stuck it to the Omega part.  It closed the gap perfectly and was soooooo comfortable too.  Now I put Moleskin on all my clips so they stay secure and are more comfortable.
