Aren't those all basically QVC house brands?

I was thinking along the same lines... This could get interesting, nor not, but it could...

$22.5 million????

I don't think that is very much at all

what is the story there?

It sound like the essentially bought the name, not the inventory...

Agreed, when she got too big on the Q and started with all the fake diamonds, you'd have to guess couture took some kind of a hit... Any way you slice it though, she's rolling in it...

I think QVC owns the sterling inventory ... I wonder if they knew this deal was in the works. Now, THAT would be interesting!

Wow, I am shocked. For all of the Ripkanistas, I sincerely hope that the line offered here especially doesn't change too much for you. You are dedicated collectors and I appreciate your enthusiasm for the brand when Judith has shows and TSVs.

Bird mama, thanks for your kind words. I think it all will be fine. The news was a bit shocking but not a total surprise. It will be important though, to continue to see Judith and in addition to her VP Beth, it would still be nice to see Allison (who works in design as well) and even Brian on rare occasion. I would like to also see an evening out of quality, gram weight and pricing which seem to be all over the place. Thanks again for the beautiful words of support. ~Peach

PS~What kind of bird(s) do you have? We had a real menagerie growing up. Right now I have a Love Bird who adores being petted...

I think Ripka's "couture" reputation said "good bye" when she partnered with QVC and started hawking cubic zirconia. This is all business stuff, it won't affect the product at all.

I disagree. Many companies change when they are soldSmiley Sad.

ITA!! I've always said that....just a matter of time when all the patents & contracts expire.....it's up to the highest bidder. All those brands sell their soul to the devil when they become vendors w/ the largest distributor in the world....and eventually that day comes when ties are severed & product/merchandise changes.
