@I am appleblossom:  Many years ago, when she first came to QVC she had substantial things with little or no diamonique at decent prices; those days are long gone.  Check her out on EBay for older items and sometimes fair prices.

@patbz  I have and still wear some of her original pieces....sterling silver & gemstones...plain and simple. No diamonique and no glad anything.

I watched a few minutes of a show late last night where they presented this bracelet for $1,000.  Allison pointed out it has 9cts of gemstones.  Wow, a whole 9cts of common blue topaz, peridot etc.  but it has ruby eyes.  Sterling silver of course.  They must be dreaming.

@Kachina624  Expensive & impracticable. Those stones will fall out the 1st time you hit your arm against anything. You’d have to keep your hands in your pockets. No one would see the bracelet.

I do not  think this bracelet is even attractive..... I myself ordered her pair of earrings thinking they were so pretty on the web page. Silver, pearl and Swiss blue topazes.

In reality they were the ugliest and the cheapest looking piece of junk... So sad and unfair for customers.

I've never been a big Ripka fan, but even I can see that the materials in her jewelry have gotten cheaper and more common while the prices have remained very high.  Who pays that kind of money for plate and imitation stones??

The Gem Days offerings didn't do much for me, either--I didn't watch but I checked out the offerings online.  I have all the topaz, amethyst, citrine, garnet and peridot jewelry I ever wanted.  Those are common and inexpensive gemstones--Why the high prices??  To be fair, though, the Adi Paz pieces were fairly reasonably priced--but still with those common stones!

@Shanus   You are exactly right.  Theres only one review and it's one star because, wait for it.....a stone fell out and she couldn't get a response from Ripka's fix-it service.

@Kachina624.....But you could wear the bracelet from “blue jeans to black tie and everything in between”.....”uptown or downtown”. 😜

I agree. Her designs have become way too expensive. I sold almost all of her QVC Collection items and kept the JR Two Collection I bought around 2005.

Her non-QVC collection is so much better quality and the pieces look better too. All of my JR Two peices are sterling with 18k solid gold. I still love them very much and wear them all the time. I still hope to find a few of JR TWO on ebay, but collectors and sellers know that they are better and in high demand so I haven't found any real deals in 5 years.

I don't buy her QVC collection anymore.

There are many Ripka pieces that are so expensive (silver, Diamonique and gem stones), that they cost more than some 14K jewelry on Gem Day. That’s unreasonable and out of line pricing. At that point, you’re paying extra for her name.

Years ago I bought many sterling Ripka pieces and still own some of them.  Recently QVC offered the 14k Ripka pieces and I also bought some of those and really love them. I tend to like the smaller less elaborate designs since I lead a very uneventful life.  I know 14k items were manufactured in Thailand but see the new gold items are coming from China.  I hope the color of gold and quality remain the same.
