Love that Yurman ring, but what bothers me about it is that there are so many, many knockoffs.

I love the DY I have (peridot but 18K instead of diamonds), but I also have a few knockoffs. One of them is obvious to anyone who knows Yurman, but I have a chain and slider that no one has ever realized is not his. Wouldn't matter if they did - it just looks good with some necklines!

Ah ha. I think she's wearing it now. I'm guessing it's Alexis Bittar crystal dusted ring? Not getting a great look though.

The DY Albion does have diamonds around it and it comes in several different gemstone sizes. 11mm, 14mm, 17mm. She just had it on Friday night when she hosted the gift show and FNB.

This is from Jill's FB page. Someone asked about her right hand ring but this person thought the stone looked blue and that it might be Judith Ripka. Here is Jill's response.

Jill Bauer QVCHi Amanda...the ring you are asing about is by David Yurman. It is a doublet with hematite with amethyst over it..he calls is black orchid. I bought this for myself to celebrate 20 years of working at QVC.

I honestly have never seen Jill wear any other ring on her right hand besides this Yurman, a citrine set in yellow gold or those 3 yellow gold and diamond stack rings.

Yes that's it! The ring I'm talking about is the one Jill answered about. She had it on tonight again on YHJ. It's not the cushion cut one pictured here, but exactly as she described, apparently also DY. Yes, it surely does speak volumes that she bought DY after 20 years. 20 years of selling Q jewelry, successfully, begets you the salary to buy the DY ring...why settle for some piddly Michael Dawkins stuff.. Hey it is what it is, reality check.

I saw the ring she had on tonight and have no idea what it was, but I think the ring she described in her post was the one pictured, which she wasn't wearing today. Personally, I didn't care for the one she wore today, but then again, I didn't really get a clear shot of it. Of course, DY does make more than one ring silhouette with the black orchid stone, so maybe she owns more than one.

Stevieb..you are probably right about that not being the one because after I read that Jill response above I Googled DY Black Orchid ring and nothing like the ring last night came up. Here's the kicker, lol...I don't even like it either (and have spent way more time on it for something I don't like much, ha...but this post just kind of took off.) But THAT is why I had asked....it was kind of weird/different to me, and I know Jill has expensive, designer taste, so I just wondered what it was. I've never seen her wear the other one described here. Oh well...who knows. No biggie, had just been curious! I guess Jill might answer it on FB, since she did respond on the other DY ring.

I do like the DY ring pictured here, and all the incarnations of it I saw when I Googled it. Went to DY sight too...pretty diamonds in platinum too. Well...yea...diamonds, platinum...pretty hard to miss with that. I've never been all that up on DY, though I hear his name come up on Q and elsewhere a lot...now I see how much his style has been copied on Q and out in the market place. There were some rings I saw when I Googled that I recall Q lines dating as far back as Joseph Esposito copying almost to a T.

Just having time to post now- I saw the ring you spoke of last night on YHJ. I agree with lipstickdiva that it is most likely an Alexis Bittar. Jill does have a dark metal Dweck diamond ring too but that is obviously not this one that we are discussing. I just love jewelry and am always noticing and curious about what others are wearing.
