Your jeweler is wonderful....what a simple thing to do yet I never even thought of it and clearly my jeweler was clueless. I just got the needlenose pliers and very very carefully pulled out the omega part just as you described. Perfect. These babies slipped right on so no returns. Now I just have to wait for my bracelet. I think I am going for the ring also but going to wait.
