With all the hysteria about the Carolyn Pollack TSV, did anyone notice that Jay is back in town? He was on early this morning for several hours. He mentioned that he will have a TS tonight and hinted that it will go with rainbow calsilica. Every piece of that stone I've gotten (and returned) has had a muddy look to it. The sample they show on TV is always bright and clear. That's an ongoing problem with Jay's jewelry...they pick the best to show but what you actually get may be a far cry from the TV sample.

I have a rainbow calsilica necklace of Jay's that I love, but it is definitely darker in color than what I thought I was purchasing. I'll be tuning in to see what he offers for the TS.

No, I didn't notice. I sit and watch him talk all day long. His jewelry is crunchy. I like flowery and bodacious. But I love to watch him. He's so cute like a Teddy!

I tend to like Jay's petrified wood pieces. They are so unique. I also liked one odd, flame-shaped pendant and matching ombre, dark to light. copal necklace. I have to break them out and wear them. They really are lovely.

HI Kachina,I totally agree you about this stone. My friend bought a gorgeous cuff with the nicest cut of rainbow calsilica at an antique show. Every single piece cut I 've seen since then has been bleck. I wanted to try to get her a ring to match but it all looks bad. I recently found a pair of earrings with nice stones but they were small. But the stones were very nice. Maybe it's hard to find a good cut in a larger stone?

Okay, tell us...what is crunchy jewelry? I should ask my dog. I have a gorgeous female collie that loves to lick and eat any metal. She has totally destroyed a number of my silver pieces. By the time I find them, I can't even tell what they were. Thankfully she doesn't swallow it. She's 10 years old so it's not a puppy thing.

I think she meant "chunky." lol Don't spend too much Kachina because Micheal is coming out with a huge tanzanite it looks like ring. Saw it on Facebook.

I love Jay to death, but his jewelry is so hit and miss for me---I pay careful attention to the reviews because I find them to be pretty accurate. If an item of his has an overall 4 star with many reviews, I would consider purchasing it. Nothing less than that.

I agree about his petrified wood pieces and other unusual stones--he brings some really unusual stones in and if they get the right setting and construction, they can be winners.

Oh no, my goose is cooked.

Pistlino, I think all of Jay's stuff is hit or miss. I have a ton of his beads with matching pendants but find that I rarely wear them. I don't buy much, if anything, anymore. I hate that block turquoise he brings.
