As long as he's up front about the material (and he is, the material is posted for all the things I checked), I don't mind what he uses. As long as I have the info about material and price, I can make an informed decision. I'm cool with that.

I agree ... as long as they're honest about what they're selling and it's priced accordingly, I've got no problem with his stuff.

I didn't buy the TS ring, but I did buy the Windy Mountain Turquoise multi-strand necklace. It was originally $339, on sale for $199, and I had a 20% off coupon. It's different from the turquoise I currently have.

I am confused about his explanation of "coral"... he did explain that coral is not really coral... I think he was trying to say that it is a sponge which lives in with the coral? Also, he was selling a coral bead bracelet and necklace... but I thought that coral was so limited that an entire bracelet or necklace would be thousands... so.... can anybody explain this to me?

I purchased his "coral" years ago...there were black marks where the pieces touched, so I returned it; got another piece with the same issue but a little lighter but I kept the thing...I had trouble with the clasp and had it too long to return.....I took it to a local jeweler and he said the necklace looked like it was made from pieces that were broken off...asked how much I paid and told me I was taken...his settings are cheap, tinny and non descript....I wanted to like his jewelry because I love stones and like his stories but I won't be duped again. Last night's TSV just had nothing nice about it

I have to say Jay's company is very good about making repairs. I have a 10-strand nugget necklace that I'd never even worn. I picked it up one day and 3 or 4 of the strands were detached from one end. I took it to his shop in Albuquerque and before I got back home, they'd left a message that it was ready. I suspect they just gave me a new one.

That's because it isn't coral at all. On the Kingman mine website look at the retail page for coral, look familiar?

Hsn is really good with the details of what you are purchasing when you look up the details. I believe that people post things on this site to let people know when there are other events going on. Some people are not aware when there is a jewelry show or clearance on other sites. I think that when we do this we are just helping people out. I don't think you can beat the jewelry on Evine. The prices are much more reasonable. Hsn has nice pieces as well. I do like Carolyn Pollack on this site. Sometimes I think it would be nice if she were on a different site to get more exposure.

My neighbor noticed my Carolyn Pollack jewelry and asked me to look in on his last show. I did and found a strand of turquoise and lapis but didn't order it. Looked a few days later and the price jumped $50! I called to see if there was a mistake, nope just a price hike.

I will stick with QVC. I wish Carolyn would bring dear Rodrick's turquoise and sterling strand. May he rest in peace.
