JUST WATCHED LR SHOW.....VERY CONFUSED ABOUT LEATHER vs PLEATHER

I just finished watching the Lisa Robertson Show. I noticed that everytime she offers a bronzo bracelet (tonight there was a new double wrap wide bracelet) they always use REAL leather. I'm just really confused as to why these bronzo pieces have a substantial amount of leather on them and the Judith Ripka TSV was pleather ??? I loved the JR TSV ...but, I would love to know why bronzo doesn't use pleather ? I know that Judith said that pleather holds up better. Does that mean that the bronzo italia double wrap wide leather bracelet is going to fall apart ?? One day I hear that leather is bad....the next day I hear that leather is good for a bracelet. I'm so confused....
