I attended the JR sample sale today. I must say I wasn't very impressed with the merchandise as I had seen it all before -- on many occasions, either in person or online. There wasn't anything really new such as the hematite doublets, eclipse and contempo pieces that I really wanted to see. However I did purchase the Roma cuff in canary crystal which plays well with a couple of other bangles that I was wearing. It was 50% off, better than the price on Bluefly. Everything was final sale. The saleswoman I had was extremely patient and pleasant but not too familiar with the various stones and styles, probably a temporary hire. Both Brian and David Ripka were there.

On the whole you can probably do just as well, if not better, at TJ Maxx but that is very hit or miss. I've also purchased a couple of things at Saks Off Fifth in the last year or so.
