JR Jewelry Box Heartbreak

What happened to the recent thread about silver tarnishing in Judith's new box? It prompted me to check my own jewelry, and I found that some pieces were almost black -- after only two months. So disappointed, because the box itself is so beautiful and I was excited to have one place to store my entire designer collection (most of which is not Judith's and not rhodium-plated). I have several Lori Greiner boxes and have had good luck with those, but the JR box was "special." Not sure whether to see if QVC will still take it back, or keep it and use it for costume jewelry. (I don't have much gold.)
