PLEASE, I have 2 bracelets 5 grams each that have a broken lobster claw clasp.  I need to know how and where I can send these to have them repaired.

QVC direct will not help because they say it is not guaranteed.  I tried taking them to a local jewelry store and they wanted a minimun of $200 to repair each one.  I own at least 3 more JAI bracelets and several necklaces.  I love the brand but I need help.  All I am asking for is a repair so I can wear the bracelets that I have already purchased.

Please give me some information on this.

If Jill is on Facebook,  try asking her.  Does the brand have a website? (Customer service?)

Jill and Jai Jewelry are both on Facebook. I'd message them both.

I was thinking of ordering a JAI braclet that I've had my eye on for awhile.  It's on sale and also I had a 20% off coupon.  I read the reviews and a lot of customers had mentioned quality issues.  I was surprised as I was thinking this was more of an upscale quality brand but now I wonder?

JAI isn't an upscale brand. Just another Sterling jewelry brand that sells primarily on QVC and Amazon. Their website shows a few small jewelry stores.that carry JAI.

We've seen lots of complaints about the clasps on Jai bracelets.  They seem prone to breaking, maybe because people sleep in the which is hard on the bracelet.

Nobody with the company seems to be able to offer any help.  You should be able to get a lobster claw clasps replaced for a lot less that $200.  Try other places.

I can't imagine why a replacement lobster claw clasp could cost that much.  I just had a lobster claw on a heavy Michael Dawkins sterling bracelet replaced and it cost $45 in NYC.

You can message jai jewelry on social media.  I see many questions on Jill's fb page where people are asking about repairs and the Jai person says to DM them.

The JAI bracelets have a swivel clasp which makes the whole mechanism different.  I had one break but was able to return it because it was within the window of returnablility. I think QVC is offering insurance on jewelry of a certain price because they don't want to be responsible for defective pieces after 30 days.  There was a time when they were helpful when you had an issue after 30 days.  These days however, their response is you should have insured it.

I suspect you can find a jeweler to repair the pieces for less than the price already quoted you. That said, I would not personally consider this line high end. In fact, the next time Jillsy the all business huckster bangs her bracelets on the table to demonstrate how durable they are, remember this experience.
