My waitlist bracelet showed up today and I'm bummed.  I can't get it open.  The button on the side won't push in, even with a pair of pliers over a thick piece of cloth to avoid scratching.  This is a snug bangle and I obviously can't get my hand through without opening.  Any thoughts besides sending it back?

@depglass

So bummed ☹️ for you.  Such a beautiful bracelet.  Do you think a jeweler could help?

I have been on wait list for it in XS forever.  I hoped your post was to say more were in stock.

Hope it can be fixed for you.

Yes, the oil worked - once, then it got stuck again.  So rather than run the risk of having the bracelet fail when I had it on, I'm sadly sending it back.  I have a large on waitlist also, hoping that one might be better.  They obviously didn't order enough of this style, JAI seems to be selling out in spite of the higher prices.

He described how the best way is to open it.

Different from the regular way bet that's the trouble your running into.

Re: J406305 JAI bamboo bangle

These bracelets have a lever opening. It's not one big push button as you might expect.
You press down on one end of that bar to operate the lever opening.

Years ago I sent a JAI bangle back once thinking it was too difficult to open but the replacement was the same. Luckily for me, the video for it was still up and Scott explained how to open it in that particular video.
Each bangle I've bought since then has had the same lever opening. I haven't bought this bamboo bangle yet but I assume it's the same.

I have another bracelet from him in this opening configuration, no problems whatsoever.  I'm not doing it wrong.  Anyway, its now gone and I'll hope for the other one to come off of waitlist.  The jewelers around here have gone sky high on their prices, so I didn't take it to them.
