Almost all jewelry stores buy gold. Try a local store or a few before you send it off to the unknown. I recently sold gold to my 2nd choice jewelry store and got $200 more than the first one told me he would give me.

You should google and check their website. I've sold several times to them. They pay federal express to get it, will give you a quote on the phone, and return if you are not satisfied. I've weighed my gold on my postal scale and they were always right on. They are a well known and honest company that cuts out the middleman. They, in my opinion, may more than anything you can find in a pawn shop or jeweler! I've sold ounces of gold to them in the past.

I found a coin shop in town that pays better than US Gold Buyers. You might want to check around to find out what independent places pay by pennyweight.
