Who watches the shows, many times looks at an item and loves it enough to place an order. They are telling me that it will ship,1 month ,2 months sometimes like today as much as 3 months from now..You place the order and as the time passes you have time to CHANGE YOUR MIND..RETHINK that PURCHASE..and eventually CANCEL..ALL THE ORDERS you placed?
I think many times it IMPULSE buying and I am so glad I have that time to cancel. I wonder how many times this happens on these ADVANCE order items??

I'm with ya. I do it all the time!

I'm not an advance order girl. I think I've only ordered two items on advanced order - a total gym and a musical CD set (when the Q started doing Live Sessions with artists). Never done it for jewelry yet - too impatient for that. I suspect you are not alone in cancelling an advanced order once the 'fever' subsides

Nope.......I'm a ""special deal"" or last-chance-clearance kinda person (!)

I had boxes coming to my door and not knowing what was in them. Then I realized that I was buying on impulse and if I could not remember what I ordered I REALLY DID NOT NEED IT AT ALL.
As a result I do not watch QVC live unless I am actually looking for a specific bit of information as in specs for electronic gadgets. That way I don't order what I don't NEED and I tame my WANT.

99% of the time I will cancel a waitlist or advanced order item. I will search reviews & decide it's not for me. I very rarely order from a shopping channel anymore.

No, I'm level headed and don't do that. If I wanted it bad enough to order then I figure I'll still want it months down the road and it gives me time to save up for it too.

I don't do advance ordering, especially when the shipments are not promised for months. Having said that, if I DID happen to order something, it would certainly give me ample time to change my mind.

I wonder if ""changing your mind"" brings on the wrath of QVC. Some have reported the ""dreaded letter.""
I figure cancelling saves shipping charges back and forth for everyone. And it opens a product to others who really want it. I don't know the big deal with cancelling.

I've wondered about that also. So much is automated these days that I just don't understand the issue with QVC getting upset about it.
