Dear Ripkanistas,

Some time ago, I signed in as a reminder for all of you who are due for a colonoscopy to get the checkup. I have colorectal cancer, and it's been 6-1/2 years for me, and I'm almost completing 3 years of chemo with few interruptions. Needless to say, it's been so grueling and I'm beyond worn out. However, I received good news that it worked. During this time, I've had surgeries, other procedures and have seen the emergency room too many times. I'm writing because I don't want to see any of you have to go through this. The exam itself is simple - you're in the twilight zone - it's the prep that's bothersome, but better than going through than what I've had to deal with. I wrote a reminder in the Forum once and got overwhelming wonderful, great support. Many of you did, in fact, get the checkup. Please, if you're due,get it done! The exam is nothing compared to the possible consequences. I love JR designs and reading your comments. Many are fun and amusing. Good luck and best of health to all of you. LK, sister Ripkanista
