I bought 2 Imperial Gold bracelets a long time ago... mirror bar I believe they were called. Spent a fortune on them- they were the "premiere" gold brand back then. Mine have turned the strangest bronze color. Imperial used to brag your purchase was guaranteed for life. Can't seem to locate Imperial Gold anywhere! Has anyone else's IG turned bronze?

All gold that is lower than 24k will discolor over time.   This is from "the elements", skin care products, soap, sweat, etc.     You can buy gold polishing items on the internet, or from your local fine jeweler.

Have you tried polishing the gold with a clean gold polishing cloth. Real gold does tarnish. My DIL 22k does not. Depends on alloy, where you're storing it, etc.

Gold does not tarnish but the other metals in the gold can tarnish.  Sometimes it tarnishes at the soldering points where links and clasps join.  

Clean your piece with jewelry cleaner or polishing cloth.

No, my Imperial Gold bracelets have not turned bronze.

@Stopaskin4anewnickname   The EG I have still looks its original color.   From my life (1960's and 1980's) before QVC, I have a gold ring (14k) from a local jeweler that has turned and a pair of earrings I bought in Italy (18K) also turned.

I wish I could remember where and when I read that the change is not unusual, so I stopped worrying about it.
