I opened up my Judith Ripka jewelry box to gaze at the beautiful Aurora cuff I purchased on 3/23 and immediately felt nauseous. 80% of the cuff has turned completely black. It has been sitting in the anti-tarnish box since receiving it and has never been worn. I'd been saving it to wear on my birthday which is in October because opal is my birthstone. I can't remember how to post a pic here, but I've attached a link to the pic.
I am beyond words!!! How could this have happened?!?!? Is this considered a defect? I am well beyond the 30 days, however this should NOT have happened. With all of these opals, I don't even think it can be cleaned.
