How do you prevent this from happening?

Diamonds, gemstones, areas of focus on jewelry, even bracelets, from turning great side underneath. My diamonds and gemstones are always on the palm side, my bracelets with any detailing are always turned upside down, and why buy a David Yurman bracelet if the pretty side is on the table getting scratched up where no one can see it.

I am pretty much convinced that when the stone falls out or the gold wears less bright, that it will then turn in the proper direction, just my experience with Murphy's Law.

There is not a lot you can do about it other than buy bracelets that are fairly short so that they can't turn around. It goes without saying, if the bracelet has drape in it, the heaviest part of the bracelet will always fall to under the wrist. I wish they would hang a charm off the closure or something so that would help keep the closure under the wrist and the pretty stuff would stay on top. Never buy bracelets that are graduated in size. They make them wider to look more substantial but you can guarantee you will always be twisting the widest part back to the top.

It has to do with the design of the bracelet and nothing can really stop it from happening. That's why an eternity design in a bracelet is all I buy now after having had the same problem you had.

Agree, oval cuffs or snug fitting bracelets.

Thank you. I guess this is a cue for me not to buy what I like at first sight but to consider how it will wear. Thank you for this. I need to be more careful when shopping. I love eternity bangles. Might have to make that my mainstay.

You are probably ordering pieces that are too large for your wrist. If the fit is snug, they can't flip.
