Re: Host-Designed Diamonique Rings

I'm curious about the ring Shawn has been wearing recently. Her's is a 3 ct diamond - not a halo. Recently she has been wearing a ring with a halo. I'm curious if she has upgraded from the already "large and in charge" 3 ct. diamond.

How can that be true?? CZs weigh more than diamonds. There is a calculation factor of 1.7 (approx). The exact calculation depends on the cut and the millimeter size of the stone.

If DMQ stones were given in carat weights equal to that of diamonds then it should state DEW.

I have long been puzzled by this and at one time I think QVC was much more clear.

This is what drops down under this ring, can't speak to what nonsense they sprout on other products.

My dark suspicion is that they love to cloud the issue, since we all "know" diamonique is "just" like a diamond.

Got to say, if it got by you, they must be good with slight of hand moves.

Carat is a weight measurement not a size measurement.

It would clear up a lot of confusion if QVC would simply give the MM sizes of the stones like all jewelers do.  For example, a 1ct round diamond is 6.5 mm, a 2ct round diamond is 8.1 mm, a 5ct round diamond is 11 mm.  This is approximate as the final .1, .3, etc. will depend on the exact cut of a particular stone

I've been eyeing this ring for a year now J276996.   I believe was designed by Amy?  I believe its a dup of her engagement ring.

Yes indeed, and once we wrap our brains around their quote I copied, we can all go screaming down the street.  Not nice to fool your customers.

@Mz iMac Yes, Amy chose to wear that ring with her real diamond wedding band, don't know if she designed the ring or not. It's not her engagement ring duplicate, I think she mentioned she chose the big diamond wedding band over an engagement ring at the time, they could not afford both.

I prefer simple settings. Not a fan of the halo style that's so popular these days.

@Mz iMac That ring was always a Diamonique ring.  Amy said she saw it, fell in love with it, and decided to make it her engagement ring.  Her wedding band is real diamonds, but her original engagement ring is indeed that one pictured, a Diamonique ring she saw on QVC.

Re: Host-Designed Diamonique Rings

I prefer smaller stones. Thanks for telling us about this. I like to hear about new things.
