I just got my set of 2 pearl studs.  They are beautiful but I am having trouble getting the back on and off easily.  They fit once on but it is a real pull and push move that is needed!  I am afraid the pearl may become detached if this keeps up.  Anyone else have this problem?

Are they butterfly backs?  Take a thin pointy object and gently pry the two round holes or wings away from each other. Chances are they are too tight together and are preventing the stud from smoothly going inbetween.

@bargainsgirl   I may be able to help. With an old tweezers, you can adjust the butterfly backing. Place the tweezer ends inside the the loops on the back (on either side of the hole). You can either spread it open a bit or tighten it that way. If you need something stronger, see if you have a tiny needle nose pliers. If you manage to get one set to fit, just swith them between the two pair if you don''t feel like doing all 4 backs.

Thanks ladies but these are not the butterfly backs.  They are regular backs but larger.  The part you grasp does not move.  I hope with a little wear and tear they will loosen up!

@bargainsgirl    If you'd rather not wait, stores like Michaels that carry beads and jewelry making supplies, carry bags of butterfly backs.
