IMO, Honora has really gotten into a rut with their "designs".  I have some really fun and interesting pieces from years ago - a pale green mother of pearl/sterling silver leaf design and combinations of colored pearls (yes I know they dye them) that I really like.  Now when I watch a show I wonder "where did all interesting stuff go"?

And QVC wonders why jewelry sales are down?  I'm not going to buy the same 5 set of pearl studs over and over again.

I was watching JTV the other night and they were showing pearls and there was an awesome looking necklace and bracelet being presented.  Now I have no idea of the quality of pearls from them but at least the design made me look, not yawn.

I have many pearls from JTV and they are really lovely!! Now I haven't spent hundreds of $ on a pearl piece---but  I have a necklace of huge baroque pearls  , maybe 5 or 7 of them, that are in beautiful colors on a rose gold over silver chain that I adore. I have earrings and pendant of black tahitian pearls and even some south sea golden pearl studs that are gorgeous and all on sale too. I do like Honora too, especially the different colors in the studs. I have a long-ish strand of party pearls--different colors and sizes as well as another one that is the gold and grey pearls. I've been pretty happy so far.

I love pearls and wear peral studs half the week - but all the flashy ones have had their day.  Joel is scratching and searching for how to make his products 'wanted and in demand again'.  The colored ones look fake - or cheap - but he keeps trying.  Ralph is no asset either - he always looks bored and disinterested.

I have to disagree that the colored pearls look cheap/fake. The size is very good too. I love them and wear pearl studs many days of the week.  I have the basic colors  too, that  I love, but I like the color and knowing they are genuine pearls ,but are dyed a color, doesn't make any difference to me. I want more colors!!! I think the sets of 5 are a huge bargain and I like Ralph too.

Deb---omg--have you seen the ming pearls in person?? I got to hold a strand of ming pearls once, and they are incredible; big and heavy and the colors are amazing. I didn't buy them as they were mucho bucks and not my life style anymore. But they were so beautiful.

I like pearls, but just how many pearl necklaces and earrings does one need? Honora hasn't come out with anything truly exciting in years. And I am certainly not spending hundreds of dollars for a pearl necklace that will sit in the jewelry box most of the time.

I agree that there hasn't been much to jump up and down about from Honora in quite a while.  I love pearls, but am not all that in love with dyed pearls--I do have some, but enough already!

I'd like to see a more interesting designs too!  Also, I want them in gold, not silver!  Surely they can come up with something new and interesting.  Until they do, and do it in gold,  they have nothing I want to buy.

I have some of the Honora Mings and they are really nice.  For the price point and that fact that they are natural and not dyed, they are great.  I have the odd shaped ones and the more round ones and love them both Smiley Happy

@wagirl thanks for that info.  Good to know because I haven't bought any but I have certainly enjoyed the variety.  I'll definitely keep this line in mind if I decide to purchase.
